Toshiba Portege A100 using intel 82852/855gm video card & suspend problems.

I have an annoying problem with my Toshiba portege A100 laptop running fedora core 6, for the first time Suspend almost works, except roughly 15 seconds after I resume and enter my gnome desktop the screen switches off. The machine appears to continue to work normally, infact if I enter a command console (Ctl+ALT+f1), wait thirty seconds then Ctrl+Alt+F7 the problem is usually avoided. Any ideas?

Thanks

The machine uses an intel 82852/855gm video card with the stock FC6 kernel. Fully updated.

PS everything else works almost flawlessly with this machine
