Toshiba M30x irda??

I have a toshiba M30x laptop running Mandriva 2006 ....is there an easy way to get irda working so I can communicate w/ pdas and such.....I don't know anything about the Irda utilitys or packages so any info wold be usefull. I am a member of mandriva club so If they have packages I have access to them.

Well I donot know about Mandriva, but if you want to do it on your own, then there are a number of tutorials, howtos and links about getting IRDA working on Toshiba laptops here: http://irda.sourceforge.net/smcinit/
