I have a toshiba L650-108 laptop (you can find hardware information on toshibas
website here)
it came with a 320GB hitachi HDD that I still have but right now Im using a 16GB adata SSD
I have win7 and ubuntu on the HDD, but I recently switched distroes to debian 7 which is installed on the SSD thats in the laptop right now.
The problem is that using any of the drives and any of the above 3 OSes it frequently freezes up for seconds (sometimes 20seconds) and then it starts working again (does this repeatedly), OR many times it freezes up complately (doesnt unfreeze after waiting) and only powering it down by holding the power button helps. In linux it does these even if x is not running.
What do you think I could do before I take it to toshibas service? Could I run any test programs? I was thinking about running memory test programs. Ill keep updating what I could find.
Also while trying to get memtest installed on debian 7 (installed on the 16GB SSD thats in it right now) while I was doing something else I had the laptop turned on for a while (x not running) and it started to give these messeges:

What are these messeges? (Ill try to look it up on google but please explain to me)
What else could be done to fix this problem that it keeps freezing?
Thank you in advance
