TNT2 & OpenGL with Fedora C2T3

Whats the correct way to get OpenGL going on C2T3 please? I downloaded the linux drivers from the Nvidia site but when I ran them it told me by kernel version was not compatible. Is my approach correct, or is there something else I should be doing please? The Fedora install recognised the card - does it not install the full drivers by default? Thanks...

If the nvidia installer doesn't like your kernel, it usually gives the option of compiling a kernel interface. If you have a c compiler and kernel headers installed, it should take care of it almost automatically.

Thanks, well I made more progress but still need help.
First, when I installed Fedora I didn't choose to install any development stuff so the first rash of messages related to no gcc compiler etc. I did that, then the nvidia installer insisted on me stopping the xserver, being a newbie the only thing I could do was edit inittab to set run level 3 rather than 5 each time, I did that and the install went ok but did give a message saying I have to edit XConfig file (??). So I went back to runlevel 5, ran up kde and the simple test I have been using is to go to the screensavers and choose a GL one, they all failed before. Now, there is a difference - all screensavers fail!! What I get is just nothing, the "Test" button goes grey but thats all, at least before I got a black screen.

What should I have done after the install please? Thanks very much....
