Terratec Cynergy T Stick Video DVB-T usb driver
Hello,
I have a Terratec Cynergy T Stick dvb-t usb , and i am trying to install and use it on a pc running fedora 14. This device is not listed in linuxtv.org supported devices list. As far as i know, the usb has a NXP tda18271 chip, which is supported by the linux kernel. Still, the device is not recognised and no driver is loaded when the device is connected on the pc.
lsusb gives :
Bus 001 Device 007: ID 0ccd:00b5 TerraTec Electronic GmbH
dmesg :
[ 1933.352030] usb 1-6: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 7
[ 1933.467270] usb 1-6: New USB device found, idVendor=0ccd, idProduct=00b5
[ 1933.467276] usb 1-6: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3
[ 1933.467280] usb 1-6: Product: Cali TV Card
[ 1933.467283] usb 1-6: Manufacturer: AMD
[ 1933.467286] usb 1-6: SerialNumber: 1234-5678
lsmod shows that no module is loaded after the usb is connected.
I used scandvb to check the device, but it fails with the following:
using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0'
main:2247: FATAL: failed to open '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0': 2 No such file or directory
The directory /dev/dvb/ doesn't exist. I tried downloading v4l-dvb and installing with no success.
I just want to know if there is any chance to get the device working on linux and what i have to do to achieve this. Any help would be really appreciated
Thanks in advance
