Temerature problems
Hello
Whenever i have the terminal open it gives me the following error Message from syslogd@localhost at Thu Mar 1 14:05:15 2007 ... localhost kernel: CPU0: Temperature above threshold Message from syslogd@localhost at Thu Mar 1 14:05:15 2007 ... localhost kernel: CPU1: Temperature above threshold Message from syslogd@localhost at Thu Mar 1 14:05:15 2007 ... localhost kernel: CPU1: Running in modulated clock mode Message from syslogd@localhost at Thu Mar 1 14:05:15 2007 ... localhost kernel: CPU0: Running in modulated clock mode and it keeps on going like that. I wasn't sure if this is a hardware problem or just a simple bios setting! Can anyone help me ? Thank you |
Hey,
What type of machine are you using? Laptop - if so have you the apci software installed etc. Chris |
when you get the errors, reboot and go to bios. check your cpu temp.
if it's above 50 C then you should get better cooling systems. 9/10 the system is really warning you about the temp. that's way to high. |
