TAPE LIBRARY (MSL 2024) NOT WORKING on HP DL 380 G5 with REDHAT AS 3.0 Update 8

Dear Forumers,

Hopefully you can help me.

I have RedHat AS 3.0 Update 8 on HP DL380 G5 server. The tape libary MSL 2024 is not functioning on it.

However, when I installed the Tape Library MS 2024 on other system (a custom pc) with RedHat AS 3.0 Update 8, it works.

I need some pointers.

How do I find the difference in configuration between both systems?
What should I look for to diagnose this problem?

What type of interface are you using? SAS?
Are the proper modules loading for this interface? Different controllers require different modules.
Look at the output of the dmesg command to confirm if it is being recognized.
