Hello all,
I very recently, to be exact yesterday purchased a new Ipod video and plugged into my Suse 10.0 works just great with gtkpod. Well, it worked just great, until I had to experiement and place binary mp3 files directly into the directory.
Here are the tech specs:
Distro:
Suse 10.0 x86 version
Mount point:
/dev/stps2 /media/ipod
What I was originally trying to do is copy files directly into the directory /media/ipod/Ipod_control/music/
and I successfully did
only to find out that there are several subdirectories ranging from F0 - F12 where the actual songs were stored not in the main music/ directory.
Problem now that I have is whenever I use the "sync" option in Gtkpod is get error "access denied, cannot write to read only device".
I know it is getting that message because you cannot save files outside they proper directories, or so I presume but now I try to removed those conflicting files I placed manually in the music/ directory and it is getting me a premission error, unable to deleted, or move the selected files. I am log in as "su".
Anyone knowns how to get read of the files.
Do I have to just readjust fstab with a new mounting point?
