linux won't recognise the card automatically, but the old one's config will remain in the configs until you remove it. edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf (or XF86Config, not sure what fedora ships with...) and change the Driver "nvidia" line to match that of the new card... i've no experience with radeon cards at all, but i think they use a third party driver as do nvidia. search this site for more details on installing radeon drivers. eitherway, jst change that driver, and as long as the new driver is correctly installed, run "startx" and X should load.
