Question Suse linux 10.0 unable to boot with X-window, it resets automaticlly

Hi to all linux friends,
I am a

I have recently installed suse linux 10.0 64 bit, onto the system with following configuration

intel pentium D (3.4ghz) processor
ASUS m/b with ATI Radeon x200 onboard graphics
1GB DDR II RAM
80gb Parallel IDE HDD
160GB sata HDD
tv tuner card (Vendor: ENTER a chinese company)

with win XP installed on sata HDD it is working fine.

with linux installation, everything went smooth through, it identified my graphics, monitor and other hardware.

when it went for first reboot, i was really thrilled, was waiting to explore a new world of linux but in next moment it became a headace to me. with "SUSE LINUX 10.0" from boot option, it does all its routine, when it is about to start X-window, system blanks out, within 2 secs the system resets.

then again i tried to boot with failsafe method, with init 3 runlevel, i could login to root in text mode. from here i tried to start saX2 but again it reboots. now i am stuck here and do not know how to go about it.

plese help in resolving this,

thanks
prakash

can you see in /var/log/messages and /var/log/boot.msg and see if there is any problem?

your X configuration is bad so I will try this: sax2 -r -m 0=
