SUSE 9.2 Pro and my 9800 Pro

Just a quick question whilst i am waiting for my copy of SUSE to arrive. I am a newbie to linux but looking on SUSE's sight it appears my g'card isn't supported as such but i have seen various threads on this matter.

Can someone tell me in english what the situation is and a way to sort it?

Sorry but i am a linux n00b

just used that link......nope doesnt support my card......supports all cards upto the 9800 such as the 9700 and also the card that came after the 9800 but not the 9800!!!

Can't believe that. I know ATI have linux drivers for it here:

http://www.ati.com/support/drivers/l...4&submit=GO%21

but will they even work in SUSE 9.2 Pro?

Sorry i am a Linux n00b

ATI "screw up" thread seems to be Verrrrrry popular here. You'll find many cooks like you. I removed suse just yesterday from secondary drive. I still use its ATI configuration though on Slackware
