I purchased and installed a SoundBlaster Audigy 2 PCI card in my computer hoping to get some better sound.

I am running SUSE9.2 x86_64

uname -r = 2.6.8-24.17-default

I have disabled the onboard sound in the BIOS, and the card is working in XP

This is the error I get in YAST

An error occurred during the installation of
SB Audigy
The kernal module snd-emu10k1 for sound support
could not be loaded. This can be caused by incorrect
module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters.


I'm considering re-installing 9.2 if no one can help.
