Support to Digital Camera Benq DC c500

Hello,

I recently bought an extre cheap camera - benq dc c500. I can use it as hard drive (mount it with autofs) and get the videos and images, but I can't use the webcam feature.

Even my cam isn't in the supported cams list at http://mxhaard.free.fr/ I tried to run the module. No luck.

So my questions, is there any living person who managed to run this camera as webcam. Any tips or tricks are wellcomed.

Nah, I'm not going to run it on windows.

If you know what CCD chip it uses and no project supports webcam functionality for that chipset you'll have to ask a developer if he could add it.

mission impossible

Sounds like a hard mission. How can I get information about the CCD chip that uses? I've searched the whole internet and nothing..
