Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Question SUN SPARC Mice HELP!

Hello you all,
My problem is that I bought a TATUNG SuperCompSTATION (SS20 compatible) but it has no mouse.
There are 2 serial busses on this station, does someone knows if it is possible to use a standard (RS232) mouse in replacement of the dedicated mouse.
Of course I know that I may have to re-wire the RS-232 connector that is rather different than the PC one!
Many thanks for any answer.
Pascal

If I remember right, its a regular old RS-232 connection. It has more capabilities, but X should be able to use the normal old busmouse driver. Never did bother with that myself. Really though, old type 5 kit is cheap, should be too hard to find a type 5 mouse. Of course, that depends on where you are in the world I suspect.

Cheers,

Finegan
