suddenly soundcard is not detected

Hello,

I have the following problem:
Since yesterday suddenly I have no more sound on my asus ux31a running debian jessie.
I did not make an update, however I was installing oss in order to make a certain software work. I removed it again, but theres no difference.
here are some terminal outputs:
Code:

alsactl init
alsactl: init:1758: No soundcards found...

Code:

cat /proc/asound/cards
cat: /proc/asound/cards: No such file or directory

Code:

lspci -v | grep -i audio
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 7 Series/C210 Series Chipset Family High Definition Audio Controller (rev 04)

I read that someone solved the problem by removing also-oss, which I did, but no change.

Help would be greatly appreciated!

B

solved the problem. I had removed but not purged oss4-base. I did it, rebooted, and now it is working.
