Strange iPod problem.

I'm having a bit of an issue with my 4G iPod. It seems that whenever I plug it in its found and mounted with no problem, but as soon as it mounts, it disconnects. I included some dmesg output below.

As you can see it goes straight through the numbers, its found at 6 and disconnects then 7 and disconnects and so on and so on up into the 100's. During this process if it gets mounted for long enough I can even view the contents of my ipod but for a VERY short period of time (seconds). As it connects and disconnects the backlight on the iPod itself goes on and off

I'm using SuSe 10.1 and had the same issue in 9.3.
