still need help with cd's

sys= 1.7ghz, 512m ram, 120g /dev/hda, 160g /dev/hdb
/dev/hdc cd/dvd-rw /dev/hdd cd/dvd-rw
MDK 10.1 KDE 3.2

I can write to either cd/dvd-rw but can not read either.
(cd's, I haven't tried dvd's yet)
The error for both is:
[root@localhost cd]# mount /mnt/cd
mount: block device /dev/hdd is write-protected, mounting read-only
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hdd,
or too many mounted file systems
[root@localhost cd]# mount /mnt/dvd
mount: block device /dev/hdc is write-protected, mounting read-only
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hdc,
or too many mounted file systems

/etc/fstab:
/dev/hda5 / ext3 defaults 1 1
none /dev/pts devpts mode=0620 0 0
/dev/hdb5 /mnt/ark ext3 defaults 1 2
/dev/hdd /mnt/cd iso9660 default,noauto,user,exec 0 0
/dev/hdc /mnt/dvd iso9660 default,noauto,exec 0 0
none /mnt/floppy supermount dev=/dev/fd0,fs=ext2:vfat,--,umask=0,iocharset=iso8859-1,sync,codepage=850 0 0
/dev/hdb3 /mnt/gentoo ext3 defaults 1 2
none /proc proc defaults 0 0
/dev/hda1 swap swap defaults 0 0

Below is part of 'dmesg'

Any help appreciated.

Try this, without "default"

Code:
/dev/hdd /mnt/cd iso9660 noauto,user,exec 0 0
/dev/hdc /mnt/dvd iso9660 noauto,user,exec 0 0
and then try mounting as user rather than root...

$ mount /mnt/cd
$ mount /mnt/dvd
