SSD -> How to check alligment?

Got a brand new ssd -> SSDNow S100 16gig -> http://www.kingston.com/ssd/S100.asp?id=8
Done a brand new fedora 16 install, I guessing ssd should have been alligned automatically by anaconda by How can I check if its alligned?

Code:

GPT fdisk (gdisk) version 0.8.1

Type device filename, or press <Enter> to exit: /dev/sda
Partition table scan:
  MBR: protective
  BSD: not present
  APM: not present
  GPT: present

Found valid GPT with protective MBR; using GPT.

I'm not sure but from what I read this GPT means its alligned correctly? How can I check alligment from fdisk? I'm just interesting in understanding the calculations, which my of diy guides does not explain well

Hi,

Welcome to LQ!

Look at http://cptl.org/wp/index.php/2010/03...ives-in-linux/

Plus do not forget that 'TRIM' is now supported in new kernels.
