no i figured out that BIOS i have to select enhanced mode for pata support.so,still sr_mod is used.but i dont how to force use ide-cd.
yes.i have a ide dvdwriter connected with normal pata connector.
while my hdd is sata.so i dont want scsi_emulation.after changing the bios setting to enhanced mode,live-cd detects and uses ide-cd module.but the ubuntu hdd installed does not :?
sdparm-i have already tried and it automatically sets udma2 for the dvd drive.it is working OK.but still the old pata drivers which i want to use for dvdwriter.hence ide-cd.an lsmod |grep cdrom shows both modules are loaded
Code:
36512 2 ide_cd,sr_mod
