I went into my /dev/ and removed sr0 by mistake trying to get scsi-emulation to work, how do I remake it?

ouch. you might get it back by rebooting and/or running harddrake. E.g.
service harddrake start
as root.

On my installation, /dev/sr0 is just a link to /dev/scd0. Maybe it was the same for you. Do you remember what it was pointing at? It must have been a link to something.
