I am trying to install my Pixart webcam, but I can't seem to find the driver for my kernel version.
The other versions install themselves in other folders and can't be accesed by the system.
What can I do? Is there a place where I can download the right driver?
Thanks, but isn't there a way to install the driver without compiling from source? My connection isn't that good, and it's kinda hard to download a 200Mb+ kernel-source in order to compile it... (it takes 24 hours!)
Yes - I should have read the thread more carefully. The package listing for SuSe 10.0 from the above link indeed shows that only the following modules are available:
Quote:
kernel-module-spca5xx-2.6.13-15.8-0.57.11-1.i586.rpm [K352] [V4L1] Version 0.57.11
kernel-module-spca5xx-2.6.13-15.8-0.60.00-1.i586.rpm [K352] [V4L1] < 01/05/2006 > Version 0.60.00
And if these did not work with your 2.6.13-15.11 kernel, I don't know any other way to deal with the situation than moving to a more recent kernel. But I'm not an expert nor a supporter of .rpms, so let's hope there is someone else who might be able to help you.
