Soundcard (VIA) problems.

Hello.

I got a small problem with the soundcard in my computer. It works but not as i want it to.
I use ALSA (but i have oss-compitability installed) but i cannot change the fulume. It is either 100% or 0%.

accoring to lspci it is a VIA card:
Code:
root@eternity benne # lspci | grep audio
0000:00:11.5 Multimedia audio controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. VT8233/A/8235/8237 AC97 Audio Controller (rev 60)
I use the same system (gentoo) on my laptop and installed the soundcard there with the same tactics and it works over there.

Best,
Benne
