You're out of luck.

I just ordered 10 of these boards in hopes that linux would at least run it's usual finicky ways (fight to get stuff to work). As of when I am writing this I've seen no good support for this board. Not only does the video not work (well you can get it to work in 2D only mode with ATI's proprieatry driver...get from www.ati.com) the sound you can make work with the driver from realtek's website (sorry didn't bother doing this you'll have to find a link yourself...I did read someone got that working though). But I had a more serious problem, I found that the IDE controllers are all screwy. My drives wouldn't unmount...using the newest 2.6 kernel. Every time I restarted I had a fsck going because it never cleanly unmounted.

Then when I updated the kernel in Suse (I tried Kubuntu/Suse/Fedora/slackware probably spent the most time working on Suse though) I lost networking as well. I've given up and now have to sell these as Windows XP boxes...much to my displeasure, I was really happy with the low cost I got on them (end of year deals for Intel Product Dealers) but man, I'm bummed that linux runs like crap.

It's only a matter of time till things get resolved...good luck waiting I hope to have sold these by then.

Regards,
Chad
