SoundBlaster X-Fi - 2.6.31 snd-ctxfi (No 5.1? No Mic?)

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
Hello everyone and thank you for listening.

I have problems with my X-Fi Platinum running with the newly added ctxfi driver from the 2.6.31 kernel. I use ArchLinux with the standard -ARCH 2.6 kernel from the 26kernel package.

I cannot seem to find out why I don't have surround when I use the setting "6 ch Direct" on my Z-5500 surround speaker soundsystem. Luckily it has Dolby Music and Movie setting that just duplicates audio signals to the other speakers, so it haven't bothered me so far ..

I long awaited the driver addition to the ALSA kerneltree, I am sure I read somewhere it could do mic and 5.1 but I've not found out yet how.

My speakers are connected like they should, Red(Center), Black(Rear), Green(Front), Mic.

If you need anymore information just tell me and I will bring it shortly.

dezza ~ $ speaker-test -c 6

speaker-test 1.0.21

Playback device is default
Stream parameters are 48000Hz, S16_LE, 6 channels
Using 16 octaves of pink noise
Rate set to 48000Hz (requested 48000Hz)
Buffer size range from 86 to 10922
Period size range from 6 to 5461
Using max buffer size 10920
Periods = 4
was set period_size = 2730
was set buffer_size = 10920
0 - Front Left
4 - Center
1 - Front Right
3 - Rear Right
2 - Rear Left
5 - LFE

Center and Rear gives nothing ..

No input in center and rear channels and they are connected correctly ..
