I think I may have sent something in about this before, so please forgive me if you've replied to this question. I am running RH 7.3 and cannot get my Soundblaster Audigy platinum to work. Can anyone please point in the right direction for drivers and software. Thank you in advance
I would try first with seeing if you have the module loaded:
lsmod (LSMOD lowercase)
and see if emu10k1 is in the list. If not:
modprobe emu10k1
And then I would startx, or use whatever you do to check your audio. Don't forget to make sure audio volume is up, and speakers are plugged in, and that you are actually testing an audio file (the standard tech support responses )
