Hello, i am using Mandrake 10.1
and my soundcard is:
ICH2 810 Chipset AC'97 Audio Controller

Yesterday I installed Beep-Media-Player and i tried to make it as my default player for *.mp3.. I was successive by that, but since then my sound refuse to work, it shows only that the file is playing but there is no sound.
I tried to open kmix but it crashed every time I did and I got that MSG from the terminal:
ERROR: Communication problem with kmix, it probably crashed.
KCrash: Application 'kmix' crashing..

the only program that worked for me(not anymore tough(have no idea why)) is Kaffeine.
I tried to play files with XMMS, BMP and amaroK. and it didn't work

Anyone have a clue how to fix my sound with that information?

i got something that might be useful
when i logout KDE and changed it to Gnome the sound worked perfectly again
and i think i need to add this to my KDE:
Analog Devices AD1881A
and
Intel 82801BA-ICH2

and i don't really know how, can anyone help me with that?
