Sound latency too high
 

Hello!

I've got a strange sound-problem under Redhat 9.0 (on an MSI K7 T Turbo Mainboard with VIA VT82C686B onboard sound) that i don't understand. First of all, I have sound in xmms, mplayer, xawtv etc., without problems. But if I use a game with "live" sound effects, like lbreakout2, there is a latency of more than one second between the action and the sound! If i start doom, the sound is also cutted very hard.
First I thought that this might be a problem of my sound drivers, so i switched from oss to alsa, then i changed my selfmade alsa drivers to the ones supported by via, but the result always was the same! (and, although i am a newbie, i assured that i used different drivers!) I modified buffer sizes in the control panel, too, without any results.
Is it possible that this is an IRQ conflict? I am not sure about what dmesg says - i cut some parts to show:
