Sound lag problem on SuSE 9.2
I'm having a problem with the sound system. It lags extremely, repeating small bits of each sound many times, making even the shortest system sounds take long to finish, and sound very weird and laggish.
It seems to work randomly if you restart the sound system with a largest possible buffer size and realtime priority, but as soon as I start amaroK, it seems to mess up again!
I'm a complete newbie to Linux, so I don't know much about configuring it, nor what could possibly be messing it up everytime.
I've looked through the amaroK settings, but nothing there seems to be able to mess it up. It is configured to use the aRts engine.
Also, randomly sometimes the "artswrapper" "seems to have been moved or removed", atleast thats what the error message tells me when I try to enable the "Run with highest possible priority (realtime priority)" in the Sound System settings under the Control Center.
I'm running SuSE Linux 9.2, just patched with all the newest patches, and is a pretty clean install.
If there is any settings I need to post, or anything else you guys need to know, please tell me and I'll get the info!
Thanks for any help!
