Sound Hardware Problem in Suse 9.3

Hey guys, just loaded up the new 9.3 (new for me, coming from mandrake 9.0), anyway, I finally got sound working (Suse 9.3 seems to problem a lot of people with this), but every time I restart the computer, I have to go back into the sound option under Yast and re-configure the sound EVERY time I start the computer. Does anyone know what is going on?

Please and thanks to any help. New to linux, slowly learning, but learning atleast.

See if it contradicts with KDE Control Centre. In Control Centre select autodetect.
On my laptop I did it only once in YaST. I removed sound card, then added again. Ever since haven't had any problems
