Sound does not work in 2.6,

I'm using the beta fedora copy so this may be the reason why, but sound does not work in Linux 2.6

Now, I have intel's intergrated audio which comes standard with every Dell Inspiron series 4100. If anyone happens to be using this laptop series with the 2.6 Kernel in Fedora, please help me out.

What is not working?

try sndconfig, or alsaconfig
