Sound card problems
I am having problem with my soundcard.
I have an chaintech AV-710 sound card. I flashed it to prodigy firmware and now it works as a prodigy. It works perfect in windows and uses the prodigy drivers. But I can't get it to work in linux. (I couldn't get it to work in linux as an AV-710 either) I have downloaded a new asound.state and copied and pasted it over the old one. I ahve made a .asoundrc file saying exactly what it says on the alsa site. But I still cannot get sound comming out. I have Edifier s2.1d speakers hooked up through an optical connection. Here is a screen shot of kmixer, What should all my settings be? http://img364.imageshack.us/my.php?i...pshot109qw.jpg How do I get my sound card working? I am using Mandriva 2005 and KDE |
When I run kmix, it just shows an empty drop down box and nothing else. Something must be wrong.
