Sound card problems

Ive just recompiled kernel 2.6.5 however i cannot seem to get my sound card to work.
My sound card is a nForce2 AC97 audio controler (MCP)
when i try to use the sound card detection tool i get the error The i810_audio could not be loaded. The card works on the original kernel. any one know which option in the kernel i have to select to fix this problem?

Did u enable OSS in the kernel.. and soundsupport as a module..and make ur sounda card driver as a module..?
