Recently downloaded Mandriva 2006, I am using a Soundblaster live! 24 bit soundcard... it came up as a Soundblaster Audigy LS or something like that.. I am currently not getting any sound and have not run any configuration programs or anything like that, so if i have to could you tell me what to do? I'm fairly new to linux so make it in simple language lol. Thanks in advance!
Thank you for your help, as i said, im new to this. I figured out ALSAMIXER and found the volume was turned all the way down in there. Sound is working fine now! Thank you again for you help!
No, I know, it's just for some reason alsamixer wasn't showing anything muted, thats because i was looking at the wrong device (i have onboard and card) and then when i switched it to the card i use it showed them all muted. Thanks again!
