I use PCLinuxOS9. It took me a while but I got my sound card working then when I rebooted it stopped. At first the dmesg said that the OPL3SA2 failed. Now it says OK. -I still don't get sound. I get errors with ALSA in XMMS, but with ARTS nothing happens. -It did play the levels changed but now nothing. I checked alsamixer, kamix and kmix. Nothing is muted; however, I think that the problem is with the address. In the KControl -> Information -> Sound it states that the device is io=0x370 but it is actually at io=0x530. How can I edit this? I did edit the modules and modprobe files in /etc. They say this:
Code:
# /etc/modules: kernel modules to load at boot time.
#
# This file should contain the names of kernel modules that are
# to be loaded at boot time, one per line. Comments begin with
# a `#', and everything on the line after them are ignored.

I have not found a way to get it to work again. Any tips?
Thanks
