Sound (ALSA 1.05) & video (nvidia 6106,Xfree86) skip playing America's Army


I'm at a loss. I'm fairly sure its come kind of conflict because when I change the sound drive from hardware to software then to safe mode, I notice that the distortions get less and less frequent. What happens is especially during fire fights the sound skips like a bad cd and the game skips right along with it. I could accept it was my processor except I went up in power, performance shouldn't have gone down.

I dumped just about everything I could think of in logs, cat /proc/*info etc down below. Hopefully there is something there you can see that I am missing. If you need anything else, please don't hesitate to ask.
