Sony PTP Camera permission problems
Hi.
I have a Sony DSC-P10 camera. I've managed to get it working with hotplug and digikam, so that digicam is launched when the camera is attaced.
Im running Debian Testing (Sarge) and KDE.
My problem is that even though I can see the pictures and transfer them to my computer, the photos cant be deleted from the camera. The camera does also get recognised as a DSC-F707V instead of DSC-P10 even though the correct camera is on the lists of supported cameras in digikam.
I have tried if I could delete as root, but this gives me the same problem.
Part of "ls -lR /proc/bus/usb" gives me the following:
/proc/bus/usb/002:
totalt 0
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 43 2005-05-05 19:14 001
-rw------- 1 araldit camera 57 2005-05-05 20:03 007
My normal user name is araldit, and I have added araldit to the group camera. Anyone that know of a good tutorial for getting this problem solved or perhaps their own personal experience to get me going?
Regards
Araldit
