Sony Mavica CD250 Digital Camera

I'm trying to get this camera to d/l pictures to my system instead of removing the cd and copying to the drive before the cd is full. usbview sees it as a Sony PTP. Running Harddrake its seen an an 'other/unknown device' Sony PTP.I'm running Mandrake 9.0 and being the newbie that I am, I'm pretty much lost here. I do know that it doesn't show up in my fstab file as a SCSI device, only my CDRW does. Any and all advice will be greately appreciated.

How do you connect this device to your computer? When you "plug it in" however it is, type this into a terminal as root and watch:
tail -f /var/log/messages
It might reveal what device it's going to use, or it might reveal something useful as to what to do next. Either way, it's probably going to tell you something good

Cool

Try to change the USB settings on the camera from PTP to NORMAL. Then you should be able to mount it as USB mass storage (/dev/sd?)
