Sony IC Audio Recorder

I want to somehow get the digital audio recordings taken with my Sony IC Recorder (ICD-P320) onto my Ubunutu 10.04 machine, but the device is not recognized by Ubunut. Recommendations?

Thanks in advance,
wmeler

PS--Found this...but it's old:

Any more recent/similar sites?

Sony has always been a fairly NIH and vendor-lock-in-happy company. A bit of Google seems to show that they just don't want to support non-windows systems in their IC recorders.

Here's a report about a newer model. Not good news.

In short, if it can't be managed as a simple mass-storage device, then unless the software runs under wine or somebody has done the work to reverse-engineer the interface (unlikely in this case), you're pretty much out of luck.
