Hello all,

I finally burned wind0Ze on my box and installed suse 8.1 from scratch...
I havent been able to install my printer drivers (z23 lexmark) for the last two weeks....

I downloaded the proper drivers from lexmark.com ....gunzipped / untarred ....etc.......
then when i begin the actual installation # sh lexmarkz33.-1.0-4.sh
i get the following:
"Verifying archive integrity.......OK
"Uncompressing Lexmark Z23-Z33 Printer Driver.....
"Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
"Xlib: No protocol specified
"couldnt connect to display ":0.0"

Please help, Ive been on this for two weeks......... Lexmark Linux Support Team cant help me, Suse support team isnt answering my queries.........I dont know what else to do.........

Any help would be greatly appreciated..........

instead of useing su followed by roots password use sux - or from your user shell type xhost +localhost (it will respond 'localhost being added to access control list' then try your install again.
