sndconfig says my sound card not supported :(

I have a Dell (I forget what model) runnign RH9 and I can't seem to get the sound to work.
When I go Main Menu > System Settings > Soundcard Detection

It dectects ...

Vendor: Intel Corp.
Model: 82801EB AC'97 Audio
Module: snd-intel8x0

... but when I click "play test sound" I hear nothing. I check the volume and that's ok.
So I ran sndconfig and the PCI Probe Results says

Intel Corp. 82801EB AC'97 Audio is not supported.

Does anyone know if there is anything I can do about this?

Thanks
