agentfromharm LQ Newbie Registered: Dec 2004 Posts: 1 Rep:	SMP Kernel freeze Hi there I am a relatively new Linux user, but I'm learning fast. I have a TYAN S2460 dual Athlon Motherboard and I recently upgraded from Fedora Core 2 to 3. My problem is that when i load the SMP kernel, after a while my computer locks up completely – i can't even move the mouse let alone get out of gnome. The Strange thing is that everything works fine when i boot the non-SMP kernel. Has anyone encountered a problem like this or have any ideas as to what might be causing it?
