basically my system cannot mix the input from keyboard and mouse for some reason. sometimes when im using the arrow keys i get bizarre output, for example sometimes when i use the [->] arrow key it will suddenly print a bunch of 6s and it will keep doing it until i press another key. yes, i did notice that on the number pad there are arrow keys as well, and [->] just happens to be 6. but i am using normal arrow keys you know... and the Num Lock is on. this never happens on Windows.
while searching for an answer i found this long archive of emails between Pavlik Vojtech(SuSE) and Linus Torvalds(the linux god) discussing input issues on 2.6 kernels(which i happened to be using). unfortinately the archive was only a development discussion, and did not lead to any answer for my particular problem.
i suppose this thing has been on the air, so someone must know whats going on.

PS while im typing this question i tried moving the mouse and it was stuck until i let the keyboard go. and of course i cant play any games in this state.

For some strange reason, that almost sounds like it could be an IRQ sharing issue. You might want to look into that. The only other option I can think of would be to get the latest kernel, recompile, and see if that does anything for you.
