Printing bin label reorts to a PICA 104 stores printer is slow, only prints a label EVERY 5 SECONDS ??? (see log below from /var/log/cups/page_log). Have tried to sus it out but am unable to find what's causing ths. Is this a Linux issue or the printer hardware causing this ? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I don't know this label printer or its command set but you seem to be sending each label as a separate CUPS print job - right?

With the Epson TM-L60 label printer the fastest way to print multiple labels is execute the label job (macro in the ESC POS command set) the required number of times WITHIN the printer itself - one CUPS job.
