Slackware installing integrated lan adapter

Hi,
I have a little prob. with getting Slackware to recognize the integrated LAN adapter. it doesn't appear to be recognized at startup.

I have tried other distros in the same box and all have worked fine with the hardware., such as fedora, opensuse , mandriva, so there should not be a problem with the drivers.

The lan adapter is integrated to an intel 945g motherboard, in a Gateway GT3020m. And I'm using Slackware 12.
Thnx in advance.

Try a "modprobe e1000" and see if that helps.

Are you sure the module wasn't loaded already? If it's not loading automatically, you'll want to add "/sbin/modprobe e1000" to your /etc/rc.d/rc.modules.
