Slackware 9 sound issue
First off let me say I am sorry for the very little information I am able to provide for this problem. Also that I have searched the forums and have not really found much to help me
Ok to the problem I installed Slack 9 on a friends laptop and everthing seemed to go smoothly but when I booted into the gui I got:
Mixer device /dev/mixer has neither volume nor PCM channels.
everything else seems to work fine just no sound. I am not sure what type of sound card he has since he has lost all documentation for his laptop I have tried the alsa drivers with no luck, If anyone can give me any advice I would really appreciate it .
