SiS Audio Line in not working

Hello Everyone,

I'm trying to get audio from my ATI TV wonder card to work, but unfortunately I can't hear anything from the line in of my sound card (the TV wonder uses the line in of the sound card for audio).

I have a integrated SiS card and I can hear regular music and what not, but I can't get the line in to work. I enabled everthing in kmix but still nothing. This is what I got from lspci:

00:01.1 Ethernet controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] SiS900 PCI Fast Et hernet (rev 82)
00:01.2 USB Controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] USB 1.0 Controller (rev 07)
00:01.3 USB Controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] USB 1.0 Controller (rev 07)
00:01.4 Multimedia audio controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] SiS PCI Au dio Accelerator (rev 02)
00:01.6 Modem: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] AC'97 Modem Controller (rev a0)
00:02.0 PCI bridge: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] Virtual PCI-to-PCI bridge ( AGP)
00:09.0 Multimedia video controller: Brooktree Corporation Bt878 Video Capture ( rev 11)
00:09.1 Multimedia controller: Brooktree Corporation Bt878 Audio Capture (rev 11 )
00:0b.0 Ethernet controller: D-Link System Inc RTL8139 Ethernet (rev 10)
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] 630/730 PCI/ AGP VGA Display Adapter (rev 31)

I'd appreciate any help you guys can give me, this has been driving me nuts for a while.

Hey aamir,

1. There's a ground rule in linux whenever u get stuck at something ....RTFM.......documentation is the key....You should go thru the bttv docs in /usr/src/linux-*/v4linux/bttv/...and there's everything u'll require for getting your tv tuner card audio work...

2. Search the linuxquestions archive for similar threads...i remember, I had a lot of problems while configuring my Intex TV Tuner Card with Radio on my Red Hat 9.....and I have replied in a couple of threads....check out one such link

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...light=tv+tuner

first try the above and lets see if u succeed...
