sis 630 3d acceleration

i'm trying to setup my sis 630 graphics card (onboard), and everything works fine other then the 3d acceleration. anything that requires 3d runs, but very very poorly. i think this is because the programs are useing a software driver called mesasoft. i know that my card has 3d capabilities, and the description the the YaST configurator even says so, but the option the support 3d acc. is greyed out.... how can i fix this??
