? SIOCSSFLAG ?? missing - Suse 9.2 - SMC2835 wireless pcmia card
 

Good morning,
I'm upgraded a HP Pavillion ZE4423 laptop from Suse 9.1 to 9.2 and now my SMC2835 wireless does not function anymore - with 9.1 it worked out of the box.
(The / partition was reformated )

I get the message that 'SIOCSIFFLAGS ' is missing when the system boots.

Lsmod gives me :

prism54 44204 0
firmware_class 3596 0 [prism54]

I tried to re-install the firmware with yast but this won't work.

Please help me out.

I went to www.prism54.org, downloaded 1-0-4.arm - copied it into
/usr/lib/hotplug/firmware/ and renamed the file isl3890 (without *.arm) and now it works after a network restart.

Upgrade to 10.1 and see if it's still broken before bothering with something 2 editions ago.
