Good Day everyone! I am a new member of this forum, A student from the small island of the Philippines. My Problem prompted me to join this Forum, because of dire need of help. We( My clasmates) recenty installed Fedora core 3 on my computer for it to be use on our thesis project which has got something to do with VoIP Asterisk Implementation. The Installation went alonng just fine but when it got to the part that we need to get update for our software, we were back-tracked because fedora core 3 can not detect the modem. We tried to install the appropriate driver for the modem but it said that it can only support the kernel 2.2 to 2.4., since fedora core 3 support 2.6 kernels we now have a big problem in our hands.
My modem is An internal PCI - singlepoint, 56kbps v.92 analog modem made by CNet. Can anyone linux guru out there be our saviour by replying to these thread. Although we have more that 6 months of formal training in our school, we still consider ourselves as newbie. Thanks in Advance. Mabuhay!(long live).
