Silicon Image Sil3112 chipset on linux

Hi to everyone, haven't been around for a while. Seem to have had a lot to do lately!!

I have been looking at a STlab A170 sata controller with silicon image Sil3112 chipset. I have been googling for a while but haven't found any info on this chipset with the 2.6.24 kernel?

Is there anyone who has any idea about this controller? Does it work with the later kernels?

As always, appreciate any help I can get on this.
